About The Position

Responsible for serving food items in main dining room as well as the private dining rooms and handling currency transactions.

Requirements

• Handling currency transactions
• Knowledge of the full menu, daily specials, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
• Ability to enter food orders into a computer
• Ability to process charge transactions through a charge transmittal machine
• Ability to print, review, and submit a daily server report

Responsibilities

• Greets and serves customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Completes all assigned opening and closing side work to prepare dining room, kitchen, and service stations for efficient operation during meal period.
• Prepares non-alcoholic and other beverages for guests.
• Prepares all condiments to garnish drink orders.
• Takes food orders and enters them into computer.
• Applies knowledge of the full menu, daily specials, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours, types of payment, hotel/other outlets marketing, and upselling.
• Checks and maintains stock of glassware, china, and flatware and communicates shortages to appropriate person.
• Maintains a clean server station at all times by wiping chairs, table bases, table top, carpet, and details the table with appropriate settings.
• Assists with answering the telephone and taking messages to give to the proper personnel when time allows.
• Records currency transactions accurately on computer and tenders proper change.
• Processes charge transaction through charge transmittal machine and prints, reviews, and submits a daily server report to the manager.
