About The Position

Tenney Resort & Recreation LLC is hiring a Server to take and transmit food and drink orders, provide friendly customer service, make menu suggestions, monitor guests’ meals, resolve problems, and collect and process payments. The Server may also assist food preparation staff when needed. The role requires working nights, holidays, and weekends in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with bussers, cooks, and other staff.

Requirements

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff.
• Ability to perform high-quality work without supervision.
• Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Take food and drink orders accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Write orders on slips, memorize them, or enter them into computers for transmission to kitchen staff.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Know the menu and make suggestions.
• Check that tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct problems.
• Collect payments from tables.
• Prepare checks itemizing and totaling meal costs and sales taxes.
• Help food preparation staff when necessary.
