About The Position

The Server serves food and beverages and provides a positive dining experience for guests and members, helping them feel welcome, comfortable, and valued. The role supports memorable dining experiences and the reputation of the Adobe Clubhouse food outlets, which offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquet events in a golf club setting. Servers model the team’s core values by cultivating a positive work environment, using time efficiently, communicating effectively, being flexible, acting with integrity, arriving prepared and on time, and following procedures and regulations. The position may include work at banquet events and requires regular attendance, with additional hours potentially required to fulfill job duties. The role works primarily indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures, and involves moderate noise, interruptions, time pressures, and regular use of a point-of-sale terminal. The position is classified as OSHA Category I because it may involve attending to kitchen burns, accidents, or injuries and therefore carries a high risk of direct contact with blood or body fluids.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly, approachable, and attentive service style.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and other restaurant staff.
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tables.
Flexibility and adaptability to changes in workflow, menu items, and staffing.
Ability to remain calm during peak periods and challenging guest interactions.
Comfort with upselling.
Working knowledge of food-handling regulations.
Ability to use a point-of-sale system and the company human-resources/payroll employee self-service database.
Valid driver’s license, as the position may use golf carts.
Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications.
Must meet the legal age requirements for handling and serving alcoholic beverages and be at least 19 years old.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including regularly standing, walking, talking, hearing, handling objects, and reaching; frequently lifting or moving 25 to 50 pounds; and performing repetitive hand and wrist motions.
Ability to hear information accurately in areas with ambient noise and perform work requiring close vision, focus adjustment, and hand-eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years of related server experience and/or training preferred.
Banquet-event experience helpful; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and members warmly and answer questions about the menu.
Describe menu items accurately, including ingredients and preparation methods, and stay informed about menu changes, specials, and unavailable items.
Answer questions about dietary restrictions and special requests.
Take orders accurately, record them, and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
Suggest additional items to improve the dining experience and increase revenue.
Coordinate order timing with kitchen staff and ensure food and beverages are served promptly and at an appropriate pace.
Monitor tables, provide needed items such as water and utensils, and clear empty dishes as needed.
Prepare tables, set out napkins and utensils, and replenish condiments and other supplies.
Handle payments accurately and promptly.
Work banquet events as scheduled.
Participate in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.
Perform assigned side work and other duties as assigned.
Follow safety standards, use appropriate safety equipment, and maintain good personal hygiene.
Maintain regular attendance and work additional hours, including weekends, when required.
