Server - La Vida Real
About The Position
The Server works in La Vida Real’s fine-dining, in-house restaurant, serving food to residents and guests. The restaurant features made-to-order dining, fresh ingredients, and seasonal and regional menus. The position offers part-time morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays, and does not require late nights. Training is provided. The Server prepares tables, presents menus, answers questions, and offers suggestions about food and service. The role also involves communicating orders to the kitchen, serving courses, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining clean and stocked dining areas, and keeping required food handler certifications current.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tables and present menus.
- Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and service.
- Remain knowledgeable about posted daily specials.
- Write food orders and relay them to the kitchen.
- Serve courses from the kitchen and service bars.
- Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
- Help keep dining tables and chairs, floors, linens, and serving stations clean, bussed, and stocked.
- Maintain required food handler certifications.
