LVN - La Vida Real
About The Position
The LVN provides compassionate nursing care to residents in a senior living community. The role provides nursing services in accordance with physician’s orders and is responsible for administering medications and treatments. The LVN also supervises resident assistants, medication aides, and caregivers, and assists the Director of Assisted Living with staffing schedules and daily staffing issues. This is a part-time position at La Vida Real, with a starting pay of $37–$39 per hour. Senior Resource Group describes its communities as a more relaxed alternative to a hectic hospital setting, where LVNs can get to know residents and provide individualized care.
Requirements
- Current LVN license.
- At least one year of experience in the health, human services, and/or community services field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a variety of people and personalities.
- Initiative, judgment, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide residents with nursing services in accordance with physician’s orders.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Supervise and direct resident assistants.
- Perform resident assessments.
- Monitor residents’ responses to existing treatment plans.
- Provide care to residents as needed.
- Assist the Director of Assisted Living with staffing schedules and daily staffing issues.
- Supervise medication aides and caregivers.
