About The Position
A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front-of-house and back-of-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. The position reports to the Restaurant Manager. This is a seasonal opportunity expected to last approximately three months, through the first week of January 2027, with potential for permanent employment depending on business needs, performance, and availability.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Availability to work onsite on a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and present menus.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes, and answer questions about food, beverages, and allergies.
- Receive food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen staff and the bartender using a POS system.
- Coordinate stations by communicating with hosts, table support, kitchen staff, and bartenders.
- Present, open, and pour wine and beer for guests.
- Assist the table support team with stocking work stations and removing and resetting used dishes and silverware.
- Assist with the cash register at counter-service restaurants.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
