About The Position

The Server/Bartender sets up the bar area, prepares drinks, and serves beverages and food to guests and servers. The role maintains service standards and cleanliness in the bar, supports guest satisfaction, and controls liquor inventory. The Server/Bartender also provides attentive, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service by receiving and delivering orders and collecting payment.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience.
• Meet the minimum state requirement for serving alcohol.
• Obtain alcohol awareness certification and a food service permit as required by the local or state government agency.
• Communicate information and ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations, including handling guest complaints and disputes and resolving them satisfactorily.
• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve workplace problems.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assimilate complex information and data from various sources and adapt it to the needs of a particular situation.
• Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
• Work with financial information and data and perform basic arithmetic.
• Stand for the entire shift.
• Be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 30 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

• High school diploma or GED documentation is preferred.
