About The Position

Ocean Prime is seeking a seasonal, part-time Server Assistant for lunch shifts. The role supports servers, hosts, and managers in delivering genuine hospitality and guest satisfaction. The Server Assistant communicates with coworkers, helps with their duties as needed, answers guests’ questions, and handles requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority. The position requires following restaurant service, safety, health, and sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean uniform and good personal hygiene, and knowing emergency procedures. Compensation is Michigan’s state minimum wage plus tips.

Responsibilities

Report to work on time as scheduled and maintain a clean uniform that meets restaurant requirements.
Practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness during all shifts.
Exemplify hospitality standards and answer guests’ questions about the restaurant.
Handle guest requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority.
Cooperate with management and coworkers and assist with their duties as needed.
Communicate suggestions for improvement in a positive fashion.
Follow national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
Report potentially unsafe conditions and use materials and equipment properly.
Know the restaurant’s emergency procedures.
Perform assigned duties and maintain knowledge of standards and procedures in the associate handbook.
