About The Position

The Server Assistant safely and efficiently provides excellent, attentive customer service to support a positive dining experience and encourage guest loyalty. The role assists with service preparation, meal running, guest requests, order handling, and stocking and cleaning supplies and equipment. The position pays $14.00 per hour plus tips.

Prior customer service experience is preferred. A high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the expo line and carry-out supplies for service.
• Fill condiment containers, ice, and other items needed to run meals efficiently.
• Learn the menu, prices, food and beverage composition, daily specials, and proper plating procedures.
• Suggestively sell food and beverages by describing items appealingly when appropriate.
• Provide courteous guest service and respond to guest requests.
• Use the POS system to enter orders when necessary.
• Repeat orders to confirm them and clarify questions, food allergies, or guest concerns before sending orders to the kitchen.
• Close guest checks using the appropriate payment method and keep them in a safe place until the end of the shift.
• Stock daily supplies, including condiments, plates, glassware, silverware, trays, napkins, flowers, printer paper, check presenters, and pens.
• Clean and stock refrigerators with juices, sodas, water, and milk.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, maintain composure under pressure, and demonstrate very good phone skills.
