Host/Hostess/Server Assistant
About The Position
The Server Assistant is a fundamental member of the Ted’s Montana Grill team and helps enhance the guest experience by supporting team members in guest service. This role makes a first and last impression on guests by welcoming them, helping manage seating and table readiness, supporting servers, and offering a warm farewell. Ted’s Montana Grill aims to provide guests with a warm, memorable experience. Its restaurants represent classic 19th-century saloons, and the company describes a commitment to local growers, paper straws, Boraxo soap, and sustainable choices in kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and the ability to stay organized in a changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor at all times.
- Ability to stand for long hours.
- Ability to reach, bend, squat, and lift during a shift.
- Ability to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per shift.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests immediately with a warm and genuine attitude.
- Seat guests and present them with clean menus.
- Manage the seating chart and server rotation, and keep the kitchen informed of open menu counts.
- Assist servers and bus and re-prepare tables for the next guest.
- Adjust to high-pressure situations and remain open to change.
- Offer guests a warm farewell, thank them, and invite them to return.
