About The Position

Hai Hospitality is accepting applications for a Server Assistant at Uchi Dallas. The role supports restaurant service at every level and helps create memorable guest experiences. Training is provided on the menu, specials, Japanese cuisine, beer, wine, and sake, with opportunities to develop toward server responsibilities. The position involves active floor support, table and supply upkeep, assisting servers, delivering and explaining dishes, and handling curbside orders.

Requirements

Effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
Identify safety issues and comply with safety guidelines and standards.
Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 pounds; stock inventory and perform restocking duties.
Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, and reach to access areas and items.
Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and in a variety of hot and cold temperatures.
Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements.
Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and knives.
Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs.
Work in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area.
Tolerate exposure to potential allergens and food odors.
Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and personal grooming.
Understand directives and communicate effectively with leadership and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Learn the menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
Participate in peer-led beverage training on beer, wine, and sake.
Stay present and active on the floor and assist with running side work.
Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, and stock supplies.
Assist servers with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience.
Deliver food to guests and explain each dish.
Receive, organize, and deliver curbside orders to guests waiting outside.
Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces.
Follow safety guidelines and standards and communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
