About The Position

Hai Hospitality is hiring a Server Assistant to support service at Uchi Dallas and help create memorable guest experiences. Requirements

• Effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
• Identify safety issues and comply with safety guidelines and standards.
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods weighing up to 50 pounds; stock inventory and perform restocking duties.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and in both hot and cold temperatures.
• Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to rearrange seating.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and knives.
• Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs.
• Work in close proximity to coworkers in crowded kitchen or serving areas.
• Tolerate potential exposure to allergens and food odors.
• Maintain a professional, hygienic appearance, including appropriate uniform and personal grooming.
• Understand directives and communicate effectively with leadership and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Learn the menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
• Participate in peer-led training about beer, wine, and sake.
• Stay active on the floor and assist with side work.
• Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, and stock supplies.
• Assist servers with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience.
• Deliver food to guests and explain each dish.
• Receive, organize, and deliver curbside orders to guests waiting outside.
• Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including properly storing supplies and cleaning surfaces.
• Follow safety guidelines and standards and identify potential safety issues.
• Communicate effectively with guests, leadership, and coworkers.
