About The Position

The Server Assistant supports the dining service team by helping ensure smooth restaurant operations and an attentive, memorable guest experience. The role includes setting up and clearing tables, delivering beverages, responding to guest needs, coordinating with restaurant staff, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in the foodservice or hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of food and wine.
• Must meet the minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, and good character for working in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications, such as a food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear tables by arranging utensils, plates, and glassware and promptly removing used items.
• Deliver beverages to tables and refill drinks as needed.
• Assist guests by answering questions, accommodating special requests, and supporting their comfort during the dining experience.
• Collaborate with servers and other restaurant staff, communicate guest requests or feedback, and coordinate tasks to meet service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, including wiping tables, chairs, and surfaces and following food safety protocols.
