About The Position

Southern Hospitality Company, an entity of Southern Land Company, is headquartered in Nashville, TN is seeking a Server Assistant to open our new Italian restaurant, Lupo Notte. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, in a fast-paced work environment. The Server Assistant plays a key support role in delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced upscale restaurant environment. This position supports the front-of-house team through table maintenance, food running, bar support, and overall dining room organization. Successful candidates are hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, and thrive in a team-focused atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic: Reliable and willing to perform any task needed to help the bar run smoothly with a strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail: Ability to notice when supplies are low and to keep the bar area tidy
  • Teamwork: Works closely with bartenders and other staff to ensure efficient service
  • Organization: Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility: A willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Tennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 90 days on property)
  • Previous restaurant experience, preferably in upscale or high-volume environments
  • Familiarity with menu items, different types of alcohol, and basic knife skills for garnish preparation is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room throughout service
  • Reset and prepare tables quickly and accurately
  • Refill water, polish glassware, and assist with guest needs when appropriate
  • Support servers in maintaining smooth and attentive service
  • Monitor guest areas to ensure a clean, polished, and welcoming environment
  • Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests
  • Communicate clearly with chefs, expo, and service staff
  • Describe dishes and accompaniments when delivering food
  • Ensure proper presentation standards are met before food leaves the kitchen
  • Assist with pacing and timing of courses during service
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, ice, glassware, and bar supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar
  • Assist bartenders with operational support during service
  • Remove trash and cardboard as needed
  • Help maintain prep pars and opening/closing duties
