About The Position

Server Assistants support restaurant service by anticipating where assistance is needed and helping servers and guests. They keep guests’ water glasses filled and assist servers when they are carrying full loads. The role includes completing assigned side work, keeping service areas clean, greeting guests, responding to requests, and clearing and resetting tables.

Requirements

• At least one year of restaurant or similar experience is preferred.
• Positive energy and willingness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
• Maintain clean service areas throughout the shift.
• Greet guests as they are seated.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate requests to the server as needed.
• Take soiled tableware to the dish room between seatings and sort it in designated areas of the soiled dish drop-off area.
• Clean and reset tabletops.
• Assist servers and fellow support staff as needed.
