About The Position

The Server Assistant at Between the Trees is primarily responsible for clearing dirty dishes, setting tables, and assisting restaurant servers. The position supports the company’s mission, core values, standards, and goals by providing a high level of service. The role is based at the Grand Bohemian Lodge in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Open availability is required, including working weekends and holidays without exception. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands, and work may exceed 40 hours with or without notice.

Requirements

• Experience delivering exceptional service and hospitality.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of proper plate presentation.
• Knowledge of the ingredients in every dish on the menu.
• Ability to deliver food to guests quickly and efficiently.
• Comfort working in a shared space with constant noise.
• Ability to handle frequently changing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and collaboration.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays without exception.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a weekly basis.
• Ability to travel by foot and stand or wait for long and short periods.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
• Assist dining room waiters with food and beverage service, set tables, serve guests as directed, keep menus clean, clean tables between servings, and maintain menu knowledge.
• Assist with providing beverages to tables.
• Remove used linens and replace them with clean linens.
• Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Polish silver and glassware as needed.
