About The Position

As a Server Assistant at La Hacienda, you support Food & Beverage colleagues and help create a memorable dining experience. The role calls for sincere hospitality, strong attention to guest satisfaction, and thorough knowledge of restaurant products, procedures, and standards. You assist servers, clear and reset tables, maintain water service, keep the dining room clean and orderly, and complete assigned side work before, during, and after your shift.

Requirements

• At least one year of previous food and beverage experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.

• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere hospitality, go above and beyond for guests, and focus on guest satisfaction.
• Learn and maintain complete knowledge of restaurant products, procedures, and standards; answer questions and complete tests.
• Support servers in as many ways as possible.
• Clear tables when guests have finished and coordinate with bussers and servers to ensure adequate assistance.
• Set tables accurately and check that table settings, chairs, and related items are aligned and complete.
• Stock side stations and maintain appropriate supplies of silverware, glassware, napkins, share plates, marking trays, and condiments throughout service.
• Polish items and keep them free of fingerprints and smudges; stock stations quietly and carefully.
• Maintain water levels and remember guests’ water preferences by table position.
• Pick up debris, clean spills or grease, and promptly address broken items using a broom and dustpan.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including chairs, banquettes, and areas underneath tables.
• Clean and stock supplies and organize appropriate linen pars.
• Complete assigned side work before, during, and after the shift.
