About The Position

The Server Assistant supports servers and dining room operations by preparing and maintaining service stations, assisting with food and beverage service, setting and clearing tables, and keeping dining areas clean. The role also supports large-party dining events as assigned and helps ensure service areas remain stocked and ready.

Requirements

Must have courteous phone skills and the ability to take accurate messages.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is a plus but not required.
Previous experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist servers with their tasks.
Serve water, bread, and butter as needed.
Ensure kitchen service stations are stocked and ready for service.
Remove soiled dishes from tables and bring them to the dishwashing area.
Set up and tear down large-party dining events as assigned.
Deliver food to tables using the seat positions shown on the ticket.
Place entrées at the correct seat positions, serving women first.
Set tables with silverware, glassware, and other items.
Polish silverware before and after shifts.
Remove soiled linen and restock the work area with clean linens.
Stock the servers’ station with supplies.
Keep the bus station stocked with ice, coffee, teas, and other supplies.
Collect trash from the dining room and other specified places after each serving period.
Maintain the cleanliness of dining and patio areas.
