About The Position

The Server Assistant supports restaurant service by anticipating where assistance is needed, helping servers, and ensuring guests have water. The role involves completing assigned side work, keeping service areas clean, greeting guests, responding to requests, and communicating with servers. Server Assistants also clear and sort soiled tableware and clean and reset tabletops between seatings.

Requirements

• At least one year of restaurant or similar experience is preferred.
• Positive energy and readiness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
• Maintain clean service areas throughout the shift.
• Greet guests as they are seated and respond appropriately to guest requests.
• Communicate guest requests to the server as needed.
• Take soiled tableware to the dish room between seatings and sort it in the designated areas of the soiled dish drop-off area.
• Clean and reset tabletops between seatings.
• Assist servers and fellow support staff as needed.
