About The Position

The Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team with food and beverage service to help ensure a smooth, efficient dining experience for members and guests. The role contributes to high service standards and operational efficiency by helping with setup, cleaning, and other service tasks, while creating a welcoming atmosphere. The position reports to the F&B Director, Banquet Manager, or Restaurant Manager. Employees are expected to follow company, club, and department policies and instructions; maintain professionalism; follow safe working practices; attend daily briefings; wear a clean, neat uniform; and take on additional duties as assigned. Attendance follows the weekly schedule, with additional hours required to meet deadlines, including weekends and/or holidays.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and effectively.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate well with team members.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
Ability to climb ladders, squat, kneel, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and fold or unfold items as required.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Effective talking and hearing abilities, with sufficient visual acuity.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous Food and Beverage service experience.
Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications as required by state and city regulations.
Completion of Invited’s F&B Service Training program.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivering food and beverages to members and guests promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including setting up tables and restocking supplies.
Learn basic à la carte menu and daily-special information to support service and answer simple questions.
Greet members and guests warmly, provide basic assistance, and help create a welcoming environment.
Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Assist with member and guest requests and complaints, escalating issues to Servers or management when necessary.
Complete side work, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking work areas to meet club standards.
Follow safety and cleanliness guidelines and club policies.
Perform additional assigned duties, including supporting special events and large parties.
Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks assigned by management.
Maintain professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain required role-related certifications.
Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
Attend daily briefings and participate in required activities.
Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards.
