Requirements

• Experience & Proven Growth: 6+ years of SEO (in-house or agency), including experience in a role with strategic responsibility or across multiple markets. You have built and managed content-driven organic growth models, not just implemented them. You measure your success by qualified leads and contribution to CAC, not by rankings and sessions. If organic traffic increases but no inquiries result from it, that is not success for you.
• Leadership & Steering: You have already led or technically guided people and managed external service providers. Developing a small team appeals to you more than managing a large one.
• Data & Tools: You are proficient with common SEO and analytics tools and make decisions based on data, not gut feeling.
• AI Affinity & Modern Search: You work with LLMs daily, have built automations yourself, and follow the development of AI Search closely enough to recognize and interpret changes early.
• Hands-on & Collaboration at Eye Level: You think strategically, but you also get into the sheet, the crawl, or the briefing yourself. And you bring people behind a direction that they are not subordinate to you: with arguments, clarity, and reliability.
• You speak fluent German and English (C-level).

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for SEO and GEO for all 1KOMMA5° markets, from Finland to Australia. You will consider classic search and AI Search together: what works in the Google SERP must also appear in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews. To achieve this, you will build content-driven organic growth models that span across markets and automate everything that can be automated with AI.
• Strategy & International Steering: You will develop the global SEO and GEO strategy, prioritize across markets, and set goals along the funnel: from visibility to qualified inquiries to contribution to CAC. You will empower the teams in the countries with clear briefings and common standards. Your insights will flow back into the strategy.
• Team, Agencies & Freelancers: You will lead a small team, develop it professionally, and expand it with your requirements. You will manage agencies and freelancers in terms of content and budget, from briefing to quality to budget.
• Content-driven Organic Growth: You will build organic growth models and introduce them to new markets, from keyword and competitor research to the content roadmap to quality assurance on the website. You will be responsible for the content strategy together with the Content Managers in the department: you will contribute the search perspective, and they will contribute the editorial view.
• GEO & AEO (Modern Search): You will align our content for visibility in AI-powered search results, measure this visibility, and derive the next steps from it.
• AI Workflows, Data & Technology: You will build automated SEO processes with LLMs and tools like n8n or Make for briefings, content QA, and monitoring. With Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and GA4, you will keep the website technically clean and translate anomalies directly into actions.
• You will take over a small team and continue to shape it. And you will stay close to the work: writing strategy and personally going into the crawl are not contradictions here.
