Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster - Midwest
About The Position
Gallagher Bassett is hiring an experienced workers compensation claims adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex claims. The role applies claims management experience to analyze exposure, determine appropriate courses of action, and resolve claims while delivering empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients. The adjuster works with clients and other parties involved in the claims process, follows applicable client and corporate policies and procedures, and complies with statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. Claim activity must be documented and communicated in a timely and efficient manner. The position is eligible for fully remote work and involves claims in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Indiana.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 5 years of related claims experience; the overview specifies 3–5+ years adjusting a full indemnity desk plus litigation.
- Appropriate adjuster license and/or certification in all states where claims are handled; an active license in at least one of the listed states or reciprocal jurisdictions is required.
- Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with claims-related and business software.
