About The Position
The Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves complex workers compensation claims. The role applies claims management experience and analytical judgment to assess exposure, determine appropriate courses of action, and resolve claims. The adjuster communicates with claimants, clients, and other parties involved in the claims process, providing empathetic customer service and supporting effective claim outcomes. Claims must be handled in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, industry practices, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements. The role is eligible for fully remote work and involves claims in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Kansas; active adjuster licenses are specified for Indiana and Michigan.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 5 years of related claims experience.
- Appropriate license and/or certification in all states in which claims are handled.
- Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities
- Analyze claims exposure, plan appropriate courses of action, and resolve claims using claims management experience.
- Communicate extensively with claimants, clients, and other parties involved in the claim process to support effective communication and resolution.
- Provide empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients throughout the claims process.
- Handle claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, accepted practices, and statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
- Document and communicate claim activity accurately, timely, and efficiently.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers compensation claims.
- Partner with clients to deliver innovative solutions and improve the claims management process.
- Think critically, solve problems, and plan and prioritize work to serve clients and claimants effectively.
