About The Position

Join MoonPay as a Workday Engineer (Techno-Functional) and play a key role in owning and evolving our Workday ecosystem across both day-to-day operations and technical system improvements. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on Workday configuration and operational support with integration development, automation, and system optimisation. You will act as the primary owner of Workday, ensuring the system runs reliably while continuously improving how it scales with the business. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable solving operational issues, configuring Workday, and building technical solutions that reduce manual work and improve system performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience across configuration and integrations
  • Experience across multiple Workday modules; Core HCM, Reporting, Advanced Compensation, Talent & Performance, Time Tracking, and Learning.
  • Strong experience with Workday integrations (e.g. APIs, EIBs, Workday Studio or similar tools)
  • Comfortable owning both system operations and technical improvements end-to-end
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system or data issues independently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into effective system solutions

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day Workday HCM operations, including business processes, reporting, and issue resolution across the employee lifecycle
  • Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations with internal and external systems (e.g. Finance, Payroll, IT tools)
  • Configure and optimise Workday modules to support evolving business needs while maintaining system integrity
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and system improvements to reduce manual processes
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, Talent, IT, and Engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Support Workday bi-annual releases, including testing, documentation, and deployment of new features and functionality.
