About The Position

The Senior Workday Configuration and HRIS Analyst is responsible for ensuring the People systems are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly. This role involves both day-to-day operations and continuous improvement, including building new workflows, data cleanup, and process automation. The analyst will translate business needs into system requirements, deliver solutions, and manage implementations, system builds, and integrations. Reporting to the Senior Director, HRIS, this position collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement new tools, test changes, ensure system interoperability, and train users. Key aspects include maintaining data integrity, creating documentation, and staying updated on product releases and best practices.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in IT or HR technology roles, ideally in a high-growth or rapidly changing environment.
5+ years hands-on experience with Workday HCM including with configuration, maintenance, integration, and end-to-end implementations.
Experience working in a Matrixed environment and/or a multi-national company.
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured data, including building reports and dashboards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity, with experience performing audits and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems with minimal direction.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and partner effectively with employees at all levels.
Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, eager to continuously improve systems and processes.
Proven ability to analyze complex scenarios and recommend strategic, technology-driven solutions that scale.

Responsibilities

Translate business needs into system requirements and deliver clean, scalable solutions that improve how we work.
Build and maintain integrations between Workday, ATS, compensation and payroll tools, to create smooth, accurate data flow across the company.
Identify manual, error-prone processes and lead automation projects that reduce administrative work and improve data accuracy.
Own change management for system updates and new technology implementations by creating rollout plans, communications, and training that ensure a smooth transition and strong adoption.
Conduct regular system audits, reconciliations, and testing to maintain accurate, compliant, and secure People data.
Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, workflows, and policies so they are easy to reference and update as we grow.
Stay current on product releases, patches, and industry best practices, proactively recommending opportunities to improve system performance and internal workflows.
Act as an administrator for Workday, including data entry and data maintenance.
Troubleshoot issues promptly, document resolutions, and implement preventative measures to avoid repeat problems.
Build and maintain Workday dashboards and reports that give the People team, Finance, and leadership clear, actionable insights on headcount, hiring, attrition, compensation, and more.
Provide expert support and training to People team members and managers, ensuring they are confident using systems and have what they need to be successful.
Maintain the library of job aids, process documentation, and knowledge base articles to enable self-service.
Collaborate with IT, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Data teams to ensure People systems integrate seamlessly with company infrastructure and support business goals.
Partner with People leadership to prioritize system enhancements and technology investments that enable us to scale effectively.
Work with cross-functional partners to identify process gaps, test solutions, and implement improvements that make systems more efficient and user-friendly.
