Senior Virtual Machine SDK Engineer

Join Ava Labs, a world-class blockchain development team, in redefining the way people build permissionless networks and create value with Web3. As a part of this team, you will maintain low-level libraries, develop performant SDKs, and create testing frameworks for Virtual Machine builders on Avalanche. We are looking for individuals who believe in a future where blockchain technologies promote fairness and freedom, have a passion for open-source code and collaboration, and possess coding expertise in Rust, Golang, Java, or C++. This is a fully remote engineering position with a salary range of $158,400.00 - $208,200.00.

• Maintain low-level libraries (RPCChainVM) that Custom Virtual Machines use to communicate with AvalancheGo
• Develop an opinionated, performant SDK for building new Virtual Machines on Avalanche
• Create testing frameworks for Virtual Machine builders on Avalanche to "stress test" their implementations
• Believe in a future where blockchain technologies make the world a more fair and free place for everyone
• Desire to work on open-source code and engage with the community
• Work together with other talented contributors instead of working alone
• Implement demos and proofs-of-concept before writing technical documents
