About the position
Ava Labs is seeking a talented individual to join their world-class blockchain development team. The role involves maintaining and improving existing Virtual Machines on Avalanche, creating new Virtual Machines on top of their SDKs, and optimizing the Ethereum Virtual Machine for use within Avalanche Subnets. The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain technologies, enjoys working on open-source code, and values collaboration with other talented contributors. The company offers a fully remote engineering team and a competitive salary range.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing Virtual Machines on Avalanche, improve their performance using simulations and instrumentation, and increase the coverage of their core components
- Create new Virtual Machines on top of our SDKs to empower community builders (i.e. an "app store" of virtual machines anyone can pull of the shelf to use on their own blockchain)
- Extend and optimize the Ethereum Virtual Machine for use within Avalanche Subnets
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability in subject area (open source code or published work is a bonus)
- Rust, Golang, Java, or C++ programming experience
