About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, the Senior Training Specialist serves as a strategic partner in designing and delivering high-impact learning solutions across the credit union. This role requires a practitioner of the ADDIE model to conduct deep-dive needs assessments and translate organizational goals into engaging, results-oriented training. Strong proficiency in utilizing Articulate360 and Instructional Design concepts such as Vibe Coding. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required, or High School Diploma and equivalent work experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of facilitation and instructional design experience is preferred.
Training creation utilizing adult learning theories, Kirkpatrick’s Model, and best practices.
Demonstrated success in developing, conducting, and assessing training programs, including in-person, virtual, and eLearning.
Working knowledge and strong proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
Working knowledge and intermediate level of competency in using Microsoft Office Suite programs. This includes creating, modifying, and formatting documents conforming to standard business formatting and etiquette, multiple worksheet databases with sort/filter functions, and mathematical, logical, statistical, and financial functions and formulas, and interactive presentations requiring custom design with notes, graphics, tables, and data.
Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills.
High level of self-motivation and able to effectively prioritize time and responsibilities.
Ability to travel locally and non-locally, up to 10% of time (subject to change), with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation available for use in accomplishing job requirements.

Nice To Haves

Preferred knowledge: Teller functions, MSR functions, new accounts, member service, loan products, and credit union systems and programs.
Preferred but not required: Knowledge of Federal and State regulations associated with Credit Union/Banking Services.

Responsibilities

Utilize the ADDIE model and Game Theory to design comprehensive and engaging training programs within different modalities, including Virtual Instructor-Led, eLearning, Team Activities, etc. This includes creating interactive eLearning modules using Vibe Coding, Articulate Storyline, and Rise (advanced-level proficiency required), as well as developing manuals, job aids, and evaluation tools. This includes ensuring the training created is making Level 3 (Behavior) and Level 4 (Results) impacts.
Lead engaging, high-energy workshops for both virtual and in-person environments utilizing Microsoft Teams. Primary focuses include Credit Union Operations, Lending, new employee orientation, and ongoing professional development.
Manage the full lifecycle of recurring and one-time training projects with limited supervision, ensuring all deliverables meet organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for credit union personnel and oversee the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate reporting and auditing.
Collaborates with the department Leader to plan, design, and deliver materials and resources for established training and development initiatives.
Creates a positive learning environment by incorporating a variety of learning methodologies that align solutions with course objectives and learner needs. Assesses learners' understanding of the material through assessments and follow-ups.
Provides new hire orientation support and new hire training virtually and in person.
Collaborates with all levels of branch and other credit union operations personnel as needed to gain knowledge of work areas and topics requiring training and development, and produces deliverables in response to those needs and objectives.
Designs, develops, and delivers training and development efforts via various delivery channels, including but not limited to in-person, conference calls, web-based, self-paced, and eLearning.
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating training materials, visual aids, handouts, exercises, evaluations, and tests.
Solicits feedback to measure progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
Assists with the execution of the ongoing procedures project, ensuring that procedures are assigned, reviewed as scheduled, updated, and communicated to all branch personnel.
Works with direct Leader and Department Leaders to coordinate and schedule employees for onsite and offsite training workshops.
Takes full ownership of high-level projects assigned to the department, meeting all deadlines and keeping the Director of Talent Development updated on progress.
Maintains records, monitors, and reports progress of employees under guidance during training and development periods.
Serves as a backup for other employees within Training, Human Resources, Branch, and Support Departments.
Maintains in-depth, expert-level knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, systems, products, and services to primarily support branches and other credit union departments as a subject matter expert for real-time support needs.
Supports the compliance, auditing, and performance reporting duties of the department as directed.
Performs administrative duties such as database management, scheduling, filing and maintaining records, providing reports, updating the employee portal site, and data entry.
Supports a flexible and variable work schedule, ultimately ensuring that all department needs are met and performance expectations are satisfied.
Other related duties as assigned.
