About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Test Infrastructure Engineer to join its Test Solutions Group and build the infrastructure foundation for manufacturing board and system products at contract manufacturer (CM) sites. The role applies systems, hardware, software, and automation expertise to make test environments reliable, scalable, secure, and ready for high-volume manufacturing. The engineer owns test-dedicated infrastructure, including tester provisioning and configuration, test compute and storage, automation, logging, monitoring, DHCP requirements, and incident recovery. The position partners with CM site operations and IT teams on shared dependencies, establishes operational standards, and develops the systems and procedures needed to sustain test services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, test engineering, lab operations, or technical operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on Linux administration and ability to solve issues.
  • Experience with servers, storage, networking fundamentals, remote-management controllers, and hardware/lab environments.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, or equivalent.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to work independently across distributed teams, CM partners, and IT organizations.
  • Clear written communication and strong operational rigor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hardware validation, factory/CM operations, data centers, or large-scale test labs.
  • Experience with GPU/server platforms, DHCP/DNS, PXE boot, golden images, KVM/console systems, and asset management.
  • Familiarity with storage systems, high-speed networking, observability platforms, and security tooling.
  • Experience building a new operational capability or taking ambiguous infrastructure ownership from multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate the initial CM test infrastructure service stack, including test compute, storage, tester provisioning and configuration, automation scripts, DHCP, log collection, diagnostic logs, and test-related file transfer.
  • Establish standards for tester images, configuration baselines, inventory, naming, access, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Automate tester provisioning, configuration, recovery, health checks, and log collection using infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tools.
  • Develop service runbooks, monitoring dashboards, alerts, incident procedures, and paths for handling blocking issues for each supported service.
  • Partner with CM site operations on physical deployment, break/fix, remote access, rack-and-stack, power, and equipment replacement.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure test infrastructure follows enterprise identity/access, network, security, DNS, patching, backup, and hardware standards.
  • Identify capacity, reliability, security, and operational risks and drive corrective actions before they affect test throughput.

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries
  • Generous benefits package
  • Equity
