About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The technician supports stores and associates by responding to work orders and emergency maintenance calls, diagnosing equipment issues, and documenting repair activities. Work must comply with applicable OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds and frequently moving on ladders and working at heights. Walmart provides a work vehicle and tools. The listed primary location is 35 Fresh River Rd, Epping, New Hampshire.

Requirements

Meet one of the listed experience-and-education options: 3 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience; or 6 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience and an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Hold an HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required.
Have 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 2 years of Walmart store experience.
Have a valid state-issued driver’s license and be able to pass a motor vehicle report.
Have no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions on a commercial driving record in the past 5 years.
Have no more than two moving violations on a commercial driving record in the past 3 years.
Have no preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the past 3 years.
Have no serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the past 3 years.
Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a 2-year technical or vocational HVAC/R program or a 2-year associate’s degree in applied science in air conditioning and refrigeration.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Prior work experience with glycol and CO2 systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete repair work.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines.
