About The Position

Own a product area end to end as a hands-on individual contributor embedded with a strong engineering team and in regular contact with customers. This role has meaningful decision rights and focuses on product ownership rather than backlog management. The position is with an AI-native B2B fintech company modernizing the mortgage loan process through intelligent document management, workflow automation, and configurable business rules. The company was founded in 2020, has roughly 80 employees, has raised $44 million, and powers more than $85 billion in home loans. It is remote-first across the United States and expects to more than double its engineering organization this year. The role owns a product pod from customer discovery through roadmap, delivery, and post-launch iteration. It connects engineering, design, and business stakeholders, translates customer needs into specifications and architecture decisions, prototypes and validates ideas with AI coding tools, defines success metrics, and partners with Sales and Customer Success on product positioning and deal cycles. The position is remote within the United States, requires US work authorization without visa sponsorship, and involves approximately one domestic trip per month to customer sites.

Requirements

Five to ten years of product management or closely related experience, such as forward-deployed engineering, as an individual contributor.
B2B SaaS experience at a startup or growth-stage company, shipping in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
Demonstrated zero-to-one product ownership.
Technical fluency to prototype with AI coding tools, read a codebase, and contribute to architecture discussions.
Experience working with and building third-party integrations.
Ability to write specifications and asynchronous documents that engineers read.
Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Former founder experience; strongly preferred.
Experience in a regulated industry such as mortgage, lending, insurtech, or healthcare.
Software engineering or forward-deployed engineering background.
Working knowledge of LLM concepts and experience shipping AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

Own a product pod from customer discovery with lenders and operations teams through roadmap, delivery, and post-launch iteration.
Bridge engineering, design, and the business by turning customer needs into clear specifications and architecture decisions.
Prototype and validate ideas using AI coding tools to provide engineers with concrete starting points.
Define success metrics for every initiative and continue iterating until outcomes are achieved.
Partner with Sales and Customer Success on product positioning and deal cycles for the product area.
