Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Sonepar•Plano, TX

About The Position

Sonepar Management Group (SMG) supports Sonepar’s US operating companies through shared services, including human resources, finance, digital enterprise, supply chain, vendor relations, marketing, legal and communications. SMG describes its culture as inclusive and supportive, with leadership and development programs and a focus on technology, innovation and caring for associates and their families. Sonepar USA is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner for a hybrid position in Plano, Texas. The role supports professional and leadership hiring across supply chain, sales, finance and other corporate functional areas; it does not support IT or technical recruiting. This is a consultative, sourcing-intensive position responsible for searches from launch through candidate selection and acceptance. The recruiter partners directly with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders, and is expected to act as a talent advisor rather than an order taker. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of corporate recruiting, professional search or comparable talent acquisition experience.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting professional and leadership-level talent.
  • Strong experience identifying and engaging passive candidates rather than relying primarily on applicants.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple professional or exempt searches simultaneously.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders.
  • Strong intake, candidate assessment, interviewing and search-calibration skills.
  • Ability to research unfamiliar functions, industries and talent markets and translate findings into effective sourcing strategies.
  • Experience using ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter and contemporary sourcing technologies.
  • Working knowledge of full-lifecycle recruiting practices, employment law fundamentals and EEO principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence advising and influencing stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Recruiting experience in distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, industrial, construction or B2B environments.
  • Recruiting experience across supply chain, strategic or B2B sales, finance, accounting, legal, EH&S, HR, operations or other corporate functions.
  • Experience recruiting difficult-to-find professional and leadership talent.
  • Strong talent-mapping, competitor-research and market-intelligence capabilities.
  • Experience supporting decentralized, multi-state or multi-location organizations.
  • Experience using ATS, CRM, sourcing and AI-enabled recruiting platforms to improve search effectiveness.
  • Track record of building relationships with passive candidates and maintaining pipelines for future opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-lifecycle recruiting for assigned professional and leadership searches, from launch and sourcing strategy through candidate acceptance and handoff.
  • Partner with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand business needs, define success profiles and establish recruiting strategies.
  • Proactively identify and engage passive talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, direct sourcing, talent mapping, referrals, networking, competitive research and other channels.
  • Learn the supported functions and businesses and represent Sonepar and opportunities to prospective candidates.
  • Conduct candidate assessments and competency-based interviews.
  • Present focused, high-quality candidate slates and provide hiring leaders with insights to support selection decisions.
  • Provide market intelligence on talent availability, competitive hiring activity, compensation considerations, geography and potential search challenges.
  • Build and maintain proactive pipelines for recurring, specialized and future talent needs.
  • Manage multiple searches across functions, levels and geographic markets.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through consistent communication, transparency and follow-through.
  • Use recruiting technology, data and AI-enabled tools to strengthen sourcing, research, market intelligence and recruiting effectiveness.
  • Contribute ideas and best practices to strengthen talent acquisition across Sonepar USA.
  • Build relationships across the organization while working within Sonepar’s decentralized business environment.
