About The Position

The Eaton Talent and Learning Organization is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant. This role can be based at the Eaton Americas Innovation Centre in Brossard (Québec), or remotely from a home office. Requirements

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional recruiting or staffing role.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in both English and French (ability to work in both languages). Proficiency in French and English is essential for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients, and partners located in Québec and outside the province, as well as to understand technical documentation related to our industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experience recruiting information technology profiles, particularly in software development (e.g., developers, software engineers, DevOps, QA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of various recruiting and sourcing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and professional rigor.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service mindset and a consultative approach when working with hiring managers.
  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to understand technical profiles in order to assess candidate fit with role requirements.
  • Ability to drive results and quickly adapt to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an average requisition load of 30-35+ professional level positions in a fast-paced environment; requisition load may exceed this average during peak recruiting seasons.
  • Seek to understand the business, including products and services of the client organization, in order to speak with authority and attract key talent.
  • Communicate expertise and provide guidance on Talent Acquisition policies, procedures, and best practices to internal customers.
  • Develop strategic recruiting plans specific to each unique requisition that exemplifies a depth of understanding of the client's hiring needs, both internal and external.
  • Consult with the hiring manager on market availability, market trends, roadblocks, and potential solutions to overcome those roadblocks.
