About The Position

Ignite Digital is seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Communications/Change Management Specialist to lead enterprise-wide communication and change management strategies supporting a major U.S. Navy initiative in the Norfolk, Virginia area. The specialist will advise senior leadership, guide the organization through large-scale change, and ensure consistent, effective communication across all levels. The role also oversees a team of communications and change management professionals, ensuring the quality, alignment, and strategic coherence of their deliverables.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in strategic communications and/or change management.
• Proven experience leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of communication and change professionals.
• Expert-level knowledge of communications principles and change management methodologies.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise communication and change management strategies within large organizations.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and persuade senior leaders.
• Excellent executive communication abilities, including briefing senior stakeholders and crafting strategic messaging.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Active DoW SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic communication and change management strategies across the organization.
• Advise senior Navy leadership and program stakeholders on communication approaches, change management strategies, and organizational impacts.
• Oversee, manage, and mentor a team of communication and change management professionals, ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with project goals.
• Guide the planning, creation, and dissemination of communication products to inform, engage, and support stakeholders throughout complex transformation initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure communication and change management activities complement technical, operational, and organizational objectives.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption strategies for large-scale change initiatives.
