About The Position

Ignite Digital is seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Communications/Change Management Specialist to lead enterprise-wide communication and change management strategies supporting a major U.S. Navy initiative in the Norfolk, Virginia area. The specialist will advise senior leadership, guide the organization through large-scale change, and ensure consistent, effective communication across all levels. The role also oversees a team of communications and change management professionals, ensuring quality, alignment, and strategic coherence across deliverables. The position supports a U.S. Navy initiative and requires an active DoW SECRET clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Requirements

10+ years of experience in strategic communications and/or change management.
Proven experience leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.
Demonstrated experience managing teams of communication and change professionals.
Expert-level knowledge of communications principles and change management methodologies.
Extensive experience designing and implementing successful enterprise communication and change management strategies within large organizations.
Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and persuade senior leaders.
Excellent executive communication abilities, including briefing senior stakeholders and crafting strategic messaging.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Active DoW SECRET clearance required.
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be subject to a government security investigation.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of strategic communication and change management strategies across the organization.
Provide expert counsel to senior Navy leadership and program stakeholders on communication approaches, change management strategies, and organizational impacts.
Oversee, manage, and mentor a team of communication and change management professionals, ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with project goals.
Guide the planning, creation, and dissemination of communication products to inform, engage, and support stakeholders throughout complex transformation initiatives.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure communication and change management activities complement technical, operational, and organizational objectives.
Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption strategies for large-scale change initiatives.
