About The Position

The Hi-Rel Space Product and Test Engineering Group is seeking a Test Engineer for its Palm Bay, Florida office. The team develops radiation-hardened integrated circuits for the space industry and is primarily co-located in Palm Bay, where it has an onsite production test floor. The role involves developing test methodologies, defining test schematics, PCB layouts and hardware, developing and debugging test programs, correlating production test solutions with bench measurements, and transferring test solutions to production.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related engineering discipline and at least 12 years of related automated semiconductor test development experience; or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and at least 8 years of related experience; or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of related experience; or equivalent relevant professional experience.
12 or more years of experience creating test solutions for automated test environments in the semiconductor industry.
Previous work with analog, mixed-signal, and power ICs, such as LDOs, buck regulators, PMICs, and PWM controllers.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Responsibilities

Define test requirements for new ICs in conjunction with the development team.
Write characterization programs.
Develop production test programs.
Design load boards for automated test equipment.
Perform GR&R studies and transient analysis, also known as spike check or de-glitch.
Develop test methodologies and define test schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware.
Debug test programs, correlate production test solutions to bench measurements, and transfer test solutions to production.
