About The Position

Responsible for proficiency in all the tasks required of the Specialist Logistics role, and additionally for providing work direction and subject matter expert support to the Logistics Team, data analysis, and coordination of restricted zip code reporting and providing operational decision-making/support in the case of restricted zip codes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy Operations (call center/customer service work environment or fulfillment work environment).
• At least 1 year of experience in escalation resolution and the application of de-escalation techniques.
• At least 6 months of experience in the Specialist Logistics role.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in healthcare, business, or related area of study.
• At least 2 years of experience in a call center or customer service work environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpretive, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and issue resolution skills.
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Communicates delivery issues with all relevant parties and action as appropriate based on the individual circumstances of each dispense following standard operating procedures.
• Coordinates package rescue, storage, and ultimate delivery with third party vendors.
• Reviews requests for re-shipments and escalates requests when necessary, using professional judgement and experience.
• Completes all steps for approved reshipments.
• Processes and tracks approved product returns and ensures appropriate disposition of returned medication and insurance claims.
• Reviews product complaints for potential manufacturer replacement and coordinates replacement in accordance with manufacturer-specific processes.
• Processes and tracks approved manufacturer product replacement shipments as well as return or other disposition of defective product.
• Monitors weather alerts/restricted zip codes and provide recommendations to leadership regarding restriction of shipments.
• Updates applications to indicate restricted zip codes when necessary.
• Partners with Operations teams to take action with respect to shipments scheduled/needing to be scheduled for delivery to restricted zip codes.
• Monitors Retail Depot shipment and takes the necessary action to ensure regulatory/contractual compliance throughout all steps.
• Compiles data for analysis, conducts root cause analysis.
• Assists in providing training, mentoring, and feedback and quality audits.
• Tracks team member productivity.
• Assists in developing, updating, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures related to Logistics Team functions
• Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding department schedules and adjustments to workflow balance based on business needs.
• Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate.
