About The Position

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Analyst & BI to join its team in Westborough, Massachusetts. The role analyzes business needs and defines requirements and functional or operational specifications for small- to moderate-sized projects of limited complexity. It works across IT and the business to clarify system scope and objectives, resolve IT matters, and improve business processes. The position also translates requirements into functional designs, test plans, and user documentation, and supports testing for new or enhanced applications and systems. The role has no direct reports but may guide less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control, to support technology-driven business process improvements.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of total work experience preferred.
• Technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define business requirements and functional or operational specifications for small- to moderate-sized projects of limited complexity.
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives, interfacing with IT areas on behalf of the business to resolve IT matters and improve business processes.
• Collect and define business or functional requirements and translate them into functional design, test planning, and user documentation processes.
• Support testing of new or enhanced applications and systems, including case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution.
• Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed.
