About The Position

Laserfiche is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical lead for customers, guiding them through complex projects from initiation to completion. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, leading discovery sessions, designing scalable solutions based on business objectives, and managing the entire build, testing, and deployment process. The position emphasizes process improvement, particularly through the responsible application of AI, for both Laserfiche's customers and internal operations. The need for this role stems from increasing customer demands for enterprise integrations, compliance-focused environments, and AI-powered automation. Senior Solutions Engineers are expected to elevate the team's expertise and demonstrate effective AI adoption strategies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical experience in customer-facing roles (solutions engineering, professional services, presales, or consultative roles preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience working with SaaS, enterprise software, cloud, or similar platforms.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Comfort with common integration patterns such as REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably .NET/C#, JavaScript, or SQL).
  • Ability to learn, understand, and communicate complex technical concepts across business and technical audiences.
  • Must be able to support occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Must be authorized to work for Laserfiche in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with content management and/or low-code/no-code automation platforms.
  • Hands-on experience deploying agentic AI and related technologies such as MCP servers.
  • A track record of putting AI and agentic automation to work in real delivery.
  • Experience with application development and modern software development lifecycles.
  • Experience with information security standards or compliance frameworks (e.g., CJIS, FedRAMP/GovRAMP, HIPAA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with customers, translating business objectives into well-designed and scalable solutions.
  • Own the build, testing, and deployment of solutions end-to-end.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, especially through the responsible use of AI.
  • Deliver enterprise integrations, handle compliance-heavy environments, and implement AI-powered automation.
  • Lead teams of Solutions Engineers on larger projects and work independently on smaller ones.
  • Gather business requirements, translate them into solution designs and delivery plans.
  • Own technical documentation for each project, including system documentation, end-user documentation, and test plans.
  • Provide troubleshooting, training, and support for customers.
  • Act as the escalation point for project challenges and keep stakeholders informed of issues and potential resolutions.
  • Conduct design, scoping, and technical reviews for other active and potential projects.
  • Share expertise with the team through mentorship, presentations, and knowledgebase enhancement.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to build or enhance internal solutions and tools.
  • Use AI tools daily to increase personal effectiveness, verify outputs, and share best practices.
  • Identify where AI and agentic automation can improve solutions and lead with prototypes.
  • Help define responsible and effective AI practices, including human oversight, agent guardrails, and output verification.
