Senior Software Engineer, Platform Team

The Voleon Group
•$225,000 - $255,000

About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on Voleon’s Software Platform team, you will design and evolve distributed systems that support research and trading workflows across on-premises and cloud environments. The team owns core distributed services, cloud platforms, job scheduling and execution systems, and standardized storage interfaces, building reliable and scalable services that abstract away infrastructure complexity. This high-impact role operates at the platform services layer rather than bare-metal infrastructure. You will help shape the reliability, performance, and scalability of research and production workloads across the organization, with an emphasis on distributed systems design, strong abstractions, and operational excellence. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, application engineering teams, and machine learning researchers to deliver foundational platform capabilities that improve reliability, performance, and productivity firm-wide. The team values experimentation, clear ownership, collaboration, and efficient execution.
