About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on the MinuteClinic Product Engineering team, you will design, build, and operate services supporting patient-facing scheduling, kiosks, clinical workflows, and provider tooling for MinuteClinic locations nationwide. You will own features end-to-end, from backend API development through CI/CD pipeline management and production observability, and contribute to the migration from legacy infrastructure to GitHub Actions–based delivery. The role involves developing and operating services across traditional hosting, containers, and cloud infrastructure; managing deployments and monitoring production health; and contributing to architectural decisions and technical documentation. You will collaborate with product owners, clinical stakeholders, and infrastructure engineers to turn requirements into production-ready solutions, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience with C# and .NET (Framework or Core), Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of IIS-hosted web applications, REST API design, and relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience authoring or maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus, or equivalent.
  • Comfort working in a cloud-hybrid environment involving Azure, GCP, or AWS, and JFrog Artifactory.
  • Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills, with experience using APM or log-aggregation tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; alternatively, 6+ years of progressive software engineering experience in a production environment may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TypeScript/Angular for internal tooling or admin UIs.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow change management and on-call workflows.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and PHI-handling practices.
  • Knowledge of Epic, Bridges interfaces, or modules such as Patient Access and Professional Billing Resolute.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver reliable, maintainable services in C#/.NET, Java, Python, or similar languages across IIS, containerized environments, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Own the full service delivery lifecycle, including coding, defining GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows, managing deployments through the centralized deploy hub, and monitoring production health.
  • Build and operate Docker and Kubernetes workloads, including writing Dockerfiles, managing Helm charts or manifest deployments, and maintaining services in Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deploy and manage services across Azure, GCP, and AWS using managed compute, storage, secrets, and configuration services, applying cloud-agnostic design principles.
  • Instrument services with AppDynamics and Grafana; configure availability, error-rate, and response-time alerts; author PromQL and LogQL queries; and maintain ServiceNow/xMatters escalation policies.
  • Write and maintain integration and end-to-end tests using Playwright and SQL assertion suites, and participate in code reviews focused on correctness, security, and operational readiness.
  • Apply foundational AI and ML knowledge to engineering problems, integrate LLM APIs for internal tooling, assist with evaluating AI-assisted code review or test-generation pipelines, and stay current with relevant AI practices.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and triage and resolve production incidents using monitoring, cloud console, and Kubernetes observability tools.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions covering API design, SQL Server schema evolution, service dependency mapping, and cloud resource design, and document findings for the team.
  • Collaborate with product owners, clinical stakeholders, and infrastructure engineers to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.
