.Net Software Engineer
About The Position
The Software Engineer independently designs, develops, tests, modernizes, and supports Wealth & Trust applications and integration services. The role delivers scalable, secure, resilient, and high-quality business solutions, modernizes legacy platforms, and migrates applications to cloud-based architectures. The engineer uses .NET/C#, SQL Server, Node.js, Angular, REST APIs, and AWS services to build capabilities, enhance applications, and integrate business and technology platforms. The position collaborates with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, Data, and Business teams to improve client experience, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and platform reliability. The role supports Wealth & Trust applications for client, advisor, operations, servicing, accounting, reporting, and workflow needs. It includes application modernization through refactoring, API enablement, cloud migration, and technical debt reduction; development of web applications, APIs, background services, and event-driven solutions; and integration with enterprise platforms, vendors, cloud services, and legacy environments. Solutions must align with enterprise architecture, risk, security, and operational standards. The position participates in modernization, cloud adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives. It is office-based at one of the posted locations, and sponsorship is not available. The engineer independently designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex software components and services; leads code reviews; troubleshoots complex defects and production issues; participates throughout the software development lifecycle; applies secure coding, testing, and documentation practices; and mentors junior engineers. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training, is required.
Requirements

- In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
- English language fluency is required.

- Previous experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong experience with .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, and SSIS.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and application modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and modern authentication patterns.
- Familiarity with Angular and Node.js development.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and implementing cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Independently design, develop, test, and maintain complex software components and services that meet business and user requirements.
- Develop and support Wealth & Trust applications serving client, advisor, operations, servicing, accounting, reporting, and workflow capabilities.
- Modernize legacy applications through refactoring, API enablement, cloud migration, and technical debt reduction.
- Build web applications, APIs, background services, and event-driven solutions using relevant technologies.
- Integrate enterprise platforms, vendor systems, cloud services, and legacy environments using APIs, messaging, and file-based interfaces.
- Deliver secure, observable, resilient, and supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, risk, and operational standards.
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to plan and execute initiatives and deliver solutions on time.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects and production issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support across the software development lifecycle.
- Apply secure coding practices, testing strategies, and documentation standards to support software quality and compliance.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Use and contribute to existing frameworks, tools, and technologies to enhance application development.
- Participate in application modernization, cloud adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
