About The Position

PrismHR is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with 12+ years of experience to design, build, test, and maintain core software applications that support its customer-facing businesses. The role works with product teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and turn them into technical specifications, while applying established software development and code-management practices. The engineer will design and implement scalable software solutions, write and maintain code, participate in peer and security reviews, and contribute to integration testing and DevOps procedures. The role also supports application performance, reliability, and scalability, and participates in troubleshooting production and application issues. PrismHR is a SaaS company providing cloud-based payroll processing software and related professional services and marketplace applications.

Requirements

12+ years of experience with C# and object-oriented programming methodologies.
5+ years of experience with the ASP.NET Framework, including ASP.NET Core.
5+ years of experience with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks and component libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.
5+ years of SQL database development experience, including Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Azure serverless technologies, including Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps.
Strong understanding of RESTful services and API development technologies.
Experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs.
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, or other Agile frameworks.

Nice To Haves

Additional hands-on experience with Angular development.
Experience with Microsoft Azure API Management (API Gateway), Azure SQL Database, and Azure App Services.
Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications in Azure environments.
Strong understanding of scalable application architecture and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve production and application issues.
Collaborate with product teams, business stakeholders, and technical resources to gather and clarify requirements.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans, and provide technical recommendations during planning and design.
Implement established DevOps processes and deployment procedures.
Participate in integration testing and support continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
Assist in maintaining application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
