Senior Software Engineer - GA
About The Position
PrismHR is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain core software applications that power its customer-facing businesses. The engineer will collaborate with internal product teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans. As part of a high-performing engineering team, the role involves designing and developing scalable, maintainable software; following coding and development best practices; conducting peer, code, and security reviews; performing integration testing; and using established DevOps procedures to support reliable software delivery. The engineer will also help troubleshoot production issues and maintain application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with C# and object-oriented programming methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience with the ASP.NET Framework, including ASP.NET Core.
- 5+ years of experience with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks and component libraries, such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- 5+ years of SQL database development experience, including Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience developing solutions with Microsoft Azure serverless technologies, including Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and API development.
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), or other Agile frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams.
Nice To Haves
- Additional hands-on experience with Angular development.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including Azure API Management, Azure SQL Database, and Azure App Services.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications in Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of scalable application architecture and modern software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Create efficient, scalable solution designs that meet business and customer requirements.
- Apply appropriate design methodologies and object-oriented programming principles.
- Identify system deficiencies and implement effective, maintainable solutions.
- Design and develop high-quality software applications that support PrismHR’s business objectives.
- Follow, communicate, and reinforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Participate in peer code reviews and conduct code and security reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality and development practices.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and application issues.
- Collaborate with product teams, business stakeholders, and technical resources to gather and clarify requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations during planning and design discussions.
- Implement and follow established DevOps processes and deployment procedures.
- Participate in integration testing across systems and applications.
- Support CI/CD practices and help maintain application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
