About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Rental Booking team, which develops and supports enterprise solutions for the reservation lifecycle across Retail, Corporate, Government, Body Shop, Dealership, and Insurance lines of business. The products enable customers and internal users to create, modify, search, and cancel reservations. The engineer designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports complex application enhancements and technology solutions. The role collaborates with business partners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure applications; resolves application issues and production incidents; and supports builds, integrations, deployments, and releases across multiple environments. It also contributes to automation, process optimization, performance improvements, development standards, code reviews, and team mentorship. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with work from home and in-person attendance as needed at the Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri. The role participates in an on-call rotation and serves as an escalation resource for critical production issues. Candidates must reside in St. Louis or the immediate surrounding area and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

Present authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment sponsorship now or in the future.
Residence in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area.
At least 3 years of experience supporting enterprise Java applications in production environments, especially RESTful web services using frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot.
Knowledge of source control methodologies and experience with Git-based source control, such as Bitbucket, including participation in peer code reviews.
Experience troubleshooting APIs, application integrations, and distributed-system interactions across multiple platforms.
Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and supporting technology changes across multiple platforms.
Commitment to incorporating security into decisions and daily job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Knowledge of API design best practices and experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
Familiarity with modern single-page application technologies, including React, TypeScript, Vite, Redux, API integration, and automated testing frameworks.
Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
Experience with Jira or similar task management tools.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle management.
Experience with cloud environments and modern cloud-native application architectures.
Experience supporting mobility, transportation, fleet management, or connected vehicle technology.
Experience working with third-party vendors and external technology integrations.
