About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Rental Booking team, which develops and supports enterprise solutions powering the reservation lifecycle across Retail, Corporate, Government, Body Shop, Dealership, and Insurance lines of business. The team's products help customers and internal users create, modify, search, and cancel reservations. This role designs, develops, tests, and implements complex application enhancements and technology solutions. The engineer collaborates with business partners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure applications; supports application operations and production stability; and contributes to automation, performance improvement, development standards, and technical quality. The position also includes communicating technical recommendations, mentoring team members, and participating in an on-call rotation as an escalation resource for critical production issues. The role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with work from home and in-person work as needed at Enterprise Mobility's Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri. Candidates must reside in St. Louis or the immediate surrounding area. The company requires U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship and conducts identity, interview, technical-skills, employment, education, and work-authorization verification.

Requirements

Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work-authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area.
At least 3 years of experience supporting enterprise Java applications in production environments, especially RESTful web-services applications using frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot.
Knowledge of source-control methodologies and experience with Git-based source control, such as Bitbucket, including participation in peer code reviews.
Experience troubleshooting APIs, application integrations, and distributed-system interactions across multiple platforms.
Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and supporting technology changes across multiple platforms.
Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Knowledge of API design best practices and experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
Familiarity with modern single-page application technologies, including React, TypeScript, Vite, Redux, API integration, and automated testing frameworks.
Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
Experience with Jira or similar task-management tools.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle management.
Experience with cloud environments and modern cloud-native application architectures.
Experience supporting mobility, transportation, fleet management, or connected-vehicle technology.
Experience working with third-party vendors and external technology integrations.
