Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-bachelors progressive work experience in software development, or a related occupation.
Five (5) years of experience with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack or backend web applications.
Five (5) years of experience with programming languages including Java, Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Five (5) years of experience with building and consuming REST or gRPC APIs.
Five (5) years of experience working with databases including PostgreSQL, mySQL, or NoSQL systems.
Five (5) years of experience with cloud environments including AWS, or GCP.
Five (5) years of experience with frontend frameworks including React, Vue or building product UIs.
Five (5) years of experience owning large components or projects and driving alignment with cross-functional partners.
Five (5) years of experience with debugging.

Responsibilities

Design and build internal products used daily by engineering, product, and cross-functional teams across Stripe.
Own end-to-end systems—spanning frontend, backend, data, and integrations—that remove bottlenecks and meaningfully increase product development velocity.
Collaborate with partner teams to understand workflows, define requirements, and build tools that improve iteration speed, quality, and clarity in the product lifecycle.
