About The Position

Decagon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Product Engineering team, which builds the platform customers use to create, operate, and improve conversational AI agents. The role focuses on designing and building systems that help customers configure, train, test, and monitor sophisticated AI agents. The work combines strong engineering with abstractions that serve different use cases without requiring customer-specific forks. The engineer will partner closely with product and design from discovery and requirements through design review, launch, and iteration, while staying connected to customers and their use cases. Engineers own features end to end, from technical architecture through deployment and post-launch improvement. The systems support agents used by major enterprises and critical workflows, including across chat, voice, email, and SMS. Decagon describes itself as an in-office company. Compensation is $200,000–$400,000 plus equity, with final compensation dependent on experience, skills, scope, and U.S. location. The company provides a range of benefits to full-time employees.
