About The Position

The Senior Product Software Engineer will join InnovateHub, a startup-within-the-enterprise that co-designs AI solutions with customers across Wolters Kluwer's Tax and Accounting product portfolio. The role develops AI features to address real customer problems and improve how accounting professionals work, with a focus on customer value, security, product experience, and scalability. InnovateHub brings engineers, product managers, UX designers, and researchers together to understand business problems, prototype ideas, and develop evidence-based solutions. The team works in fast feedback cycles and uses Agile and XP methodologies, including weekly sprints, BDD/TDD practices, and pair programming with daily rotation. Engineers collaborate across the Tax and Accounting portfolio to enable other teams and build AI solutions applicable to multiple products and customer segments.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience building software applications; Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLMs or AI systems; NLP experience is preferred.
Full-stack development capabilities.
Experience with Agile/XP practices, including TDD/BDD and pair programming.
Proficiency with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
Regular use of generative AI utilities such as ChatGPT or Claude in the development workflow.
At least 3 years of experience leading complex technical projects from inception to delivery.
Experience working in startup-like environments or innovation teams.
Comfort working in collaborative, fast-paced Agile environments with weekly sprints and aligned, blurred role boundaries.
Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs.
Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
Understanding of prompt engineering and AI optimization.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of new technologies across teams.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Azure AI-102 certification; identified as highly desired.
Experience with Azure AI services, advanced AI frameworks, or multimodal AI systems.
Background in startups, innovation teams, or product-focused companies prioritizing customer co-design and rapid value delivery.
Experience with document processing, financial data analysis, or B2B professional software.
Experience with MLOps, AI governance, or cross-portfolio AI implementations, particularly in regulated or compliance-driven environments.

Partner closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and other collaborators, understanding business problems as well as technical solutions.

Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of new technologies across teams.
