Senior Software Engineer, Bridge

As a member of the team, you will contribute to the design, optimization, and implementation of cross-chain transfer and interoperability protocols for the Avalanche Bridge. Collaborate with talented product, business, and engineering teams to align on upcoming features and releases, while also engaging with the open-source community. This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, and familiarity with cloud deployments. Salary range is $151,200.00 - $208,200.00.

• Design, optimize, and implement novel cross-chain transfer and interoperability protocols
• Contribute to core technical projects of the Avalanche Bridge, from planning through release
• Work with product, business, and engineering teams to communicate and align on upcoming features and releases
• Develop automated testing suites and tools
• Support the DevOps team with new releases and production monitoring (on-call rotation)
• Engage with the open-source community

• BS in Computer Science or related discipline
• 1+ years of hands-on blockchain, consensus protocols, distributed systems, applied cryptography, or similar systems
• Proficiency in C++, Golang, and/or Solidity
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems (fee structures, transaction formats & consensus mechanisms)
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Deployments (Native Cloud AWS and/or Azure)
• Experience with Ansible is a plus
• FLCD Smart Contract experience is a plus
• Experience with HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) Wallets is a plus
• Cryptography knowledge is a plus
• Experience leading teams is a plus
